Looking for Your Happy Place?

If your passion is to inspire a love of learning in others while also nurturing your own professional growth, Providence: A Christian Montessori Community offers you the chance to be part of something extraordinary.

At Providence, we are building a vibrant, faith-centered learning environment that prioritizes innovation, leadership, and real-world application. With hands-on, Montessori-inspired projects, Socratic discussions, apprenticeships, and a learner-driven approach in multi-age classrooms, we are preparing the next generation of leaders. Join us in this groundbreaking educational movement where students are empowered to discover their purpose and passion.

Are you eager to learn and passionate about making a difference? We’re a little biased, but we think we’re the best place to work—EVER. And we believe we’re changing the world, one child at a time (seriously, check out our mission statement). But we like to keep it real—so let’s break it down:

The Not-So-Great Stuff:

  • You won’t get rich as an educator. Assistant teachers and support staff earn $10-$15/hour, while lead teachers earn $15-$20/hour, depending on education, experience, and Montessori training.
  • Montessori has a big learning curve if you’re new to it. But trust us, the journey is worth it! You’ll need dedication and hard work, but it’ll be the most rewarding adventure of your life.

All The Good Things:

  • Awesome People: The folks here are SO nice. Our families are sweet, and the teachers? They LOVE what they do. It’s honestly our happy place.
  • Montessori is Magic: Seriously, it’s the best. Plus, you’ll work with a leadership team that has over 50 years of combined experience at Providence. You’ll see why our teachers are obsessed with what they do.
  • Hugs for Days: Our mixed-age classrooms (from toddlers to teens) mean that students know their stuff and help each other out. Also, the littles give the best hugs.
  • Low Stress, High Joy: We expect you to work efficiently and keep kiddos safe, but we’re all about open communication and trying new things. We keep the stress low so everyone can thrive.
  • Great Schedule: No nights, no weekends. Need time off? We’ve got subs for that! And we offer both part-day and full-day hours for the right person.
  • Perks Galore: Full-time staff get paid for all school vacation days after 90 days (hello, 5 weeks of vacation a year!), plus a $200/month medical stipend and a 2% retirement plan with the option to contribute more.
  • Fun Times Ahead: Roller skating, laser tag, bowling—just a few of the goofy and fun things we do as a team. Every few months we do something memorable together because who says work can’t be fun?

Job Requirements:

  • Love Kids? You’ll be spending every day with some of the coolest kids around who love to learn. If hanging with them sounds like fun, this might be the place for you!
  • Paperwork Pros: Yep, there’s some paperwork—criminal background checks, medical reports, TB tests, and all the typical stuff required for licensed childcare and school staff. But it’s all part of ensuring a safe and happy environment for our students.
  • Creating Memorable Moments: We’re looking for someone who loves creating remarkable experiences for kids and keeping parents in the loop. You get joy from making others feel good about what their children are accomplishing.
  • Christian Values: If you thrive in a Christian environment and are thoughtful about showing your Biblical worldview through words and actions, you’ll fit right in at Providence.
  • Serve with Joy: Your job is to serve kids and families—and to have fun doing it! (Because let’s be real, who wants a job that isn’t fun?!). We’re laid back but expect professionalism and punctuality to keep things running smoothly.
  • No Montessori Experience? No Problem!: We don’t expect you to be Montessori-trained (we’re in Burlington after all!). We do, however, expect you to bring intelligence, energy, and a “get it done” attitude every day.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to have you join us! Let’s make a difference together at Providence.
