Daily Life

At Providence: A Christian Montessori Community, each day is carefully designed to balance structure with freedom, nurturing each child’s unique path to learning and growth. From our youngest preschoolers to our oldest students preparing for college, daily life at Providence is built around rhythms that encourage deep thinking, independence, and a connection to the real world.

Here’s a snapshot of daily life at Providence:

Daily Schedule Our schedule is thoughtfully structured to provide large blocks of uninterrupted time for learning. This allows students to dive deep into their projects, fully complete their thought processes, and experience mastery without feeling rushed. Predictable rhythms give children the security of routine while allowing the freedom to explore within that framework.

School Calendar Our school year is thoughtfully structured to include time for deep learning, family connections, and rest. We follow a traditional school – year academic calendar with built-in breaks to ensure students and teachers have the time needed to recharge while maintaining momentum in their education.

Levels From preschool to college credits, our programs are built around Montessori principles and Christian values, encouraging students to follow their passions, take ownership of their learning, and develop skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

Learning Beyond the Classroom We believe that connecting learning to the real world is essential for developing capacity and confidence. Our Leaving to Learn experiences allow students to engage in community service, field studies, job shadowing, and internships. These real-world experiences help students see the direct impact of their learning and build valuable life skills.

Experts and Mentors We bring in experts and mentors to inspire and guide our students, showing them how their learning applies in real-world contexts. Whether it’s a local business owner sharing insights or a scientist demonstrating their work, these mentors help our students see the value of what they’re studying. It also provides opportunities for students to build relationships with professionals in fields they’re passionate about, opening doors to future possibilities.

Portrait of a Graduate At Providence, our graduates leave with more than just academic achievements—they step into the world as capable, compassionate, and confident individuals who are prepared to lead with integrity and purpose. Our graduates go on to thrive in life! Their path there may include: college, careers, and a gap year in their community. They have been equipped with both knowledge and wisdom. At Providence, we don’t just educate students—we prepare them to live with purpose and lead with faith.

This balance of structure and freedom in a child’s daily life, coupled with real-world applications of learning, empowers our students to not just succeed academically but to thrive in life, confident in their abilities and grounded in purpose. Our goal is to create life-long learners who lead with faith, integrity, and a heart for service.
