Alexis Saber
My name is Alexis Saber and I feel very blessed to be in the classroom with your children. I began working here at Providence in the Spring of 2024. Since then, I have completed my training as a Montessori Assistant Teacher through Trillium Montessori and I am currently on track to complete a degree in Early Childhood Education. With these tools, I hope to serve your child in a way that brings academic, social, and emotional growth in a loving and compassionate way.
I have always had a heart for children, but in 2024, God impressed on my heart to do more. Shortly after, God began to graciously open doors and I started volunteering at my church in the children’s ministry. Through volunteering, I was able to meet TMMA Director Julie Giles who mentioned Providence was looking for more staff members. It was then that I started working for Providence as a sub, and I got to see how a Montessori school operates not just for young children, but also for young adults in the Middle and Master Academy.
Everything that I was learning about Montessori felt so right. I felt so aligned with how Montessori follows the child and how, as an educator, you come alongside the child, rather than standing over them giving them “commands“. The thing that I love most about Montessori is that I think it reflects our relationship with the Lord. We encourage the child and ask how we can teach the child the right way when they’re in the wrong. We give grace where it is needed, just like our Lord.
