Tessa Saylor
My name is Tessa Saylor. At the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, I started serving at Providence as part of the Front Office Support Team as well as providing support in the TMMA Program. My family and I have been a part of the Providence Community since 2023 when my child began her Montessori journey in the Toddler Program.
I have 15 years of experience serving children and families and hold a Bachelor’s Degree from East Carolina University in Family and Community Services with a minor in Child Development & Family Relations. In fact, I began working with families and children in 2003, providing in-home support for families and children through Play Therapy. In 2012, I transitioned to working as an Early Intervention Service Coordinator for the North Carolina Infant-Toddler Program and remained there until 2017. From 2016 – 2019, I was also able to serve families and children in Haiti through short-term mission work and I have several years experience serving middle and high schoolers as a Youth Leader.
God led our family to Providence 2 years ago when we were searching for a Preschool for our daughter. With my background in Child Development, I knew I wanted my child at a Montessori preschool as I truly believe this method creates the best environment for a child’s learning, growth, and development. When we found Providence, heard the school’s Mission and Essence Statements, and learned how they live those out according to the Word of God, we knew we wanted our child and family to be a part of this incredible community.
I feel abundantly blessed to be a part of the team at Providence and I thank God every day that He has given me the opportunity to step back into impacting the lives of children for Him. I feel called to help each child understand his or her identity in Christ and learn how to grow into the person He has called them to be for His glory. I believe there is no greater purpose than pouring into the next generation so that they may continue to partner with and expand God’s Kingdom. Outside of Providence, my husband, daughter, and I enjoy living in Graham and seeing my stepdaughters, who live in Cary and Wilmington, as often as we can. We love spending time with our church family, getting outside for a walk or hike, traveling, and generally finding adventure wherever we go!
