Zelda Phillips
Greetings in the name of Jesus.
I am Zelda Phillips from the World of Pentecost Church, here in Burlington.
I’m a widow, mother of three wonderful adult children, 13 grand and 2 great-grandchildren.
I enjoy outdoor gardening and sewing. But most of all, I enjoy working with children. I find it fulfilling because of the privilege and opportunities to encourage and pray with some of these young minds.
This Montessori experience is new and wondrous to me. I count it as a privilege to see how free-flowing, open-ended educational processes work.
I enjoy coming here once a week because this is the perfect place to watch young minds explore their soaring ideas, exercise their quick, energetic and impulsive reactions without rebuke as might be received in a traditional education system.
Also, students at Providence Montessori can develop their rare unexplainably rare character. I observe them to be extra special as well as uniquely different from their average student peers.
It is both a privilege and a pleasure to work, learn, and gain wise insights about children, while at the school. I thank God for giving me this honor and life enhancing experience in my twilight years.
