Legislative trip – huge success

Our trip to the legislative building was a wonderful event. We were able to see the two representatives for Alamance County and Senator Gunn. All 3 signed the children’s shirts and they received lovely pins from Rep. Dan Ingle. Alice Bordsen shared a out the unique camera that takes the picture of all the representatives that was made in the 1920’s. Rick Gunn supplied us with educational materials about the legislative branch. All 3 were so kind and seemed very happy to meet our children.
The rally to support the Opportunity Scholarships, which would allow middle class families to receive large scholarships from businesses to attend a private school. Those scholarships would be tax deductible for the businesses that donated. These opportunity scholarships are available in 8 other states currently. She below the fun they had!
